This session will address the following for Kindergarten to Grade 9 students and teachers:

Online platforms and resources used for digital instruction and learning. We will focus on Class Dojo, Google Classroom and Zoom and the successes and challenges that we have encountered in these tools.
Student engagement (strategies and ideas) that focus beyond the mental quadrant of the medicine wheel. We will examine how we incorporated the physical, emotional and spiritual quadrants to engage students.

Risa Naytowhow

Classroom Teacher, Chief Payepot School

Risa Naytowhow is a first-year Indigenous teacher from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. She graduated from the Indigenous Teacher Program at the University of Saskatchewan in 2019 and is an English major and Drama minor. She has been involved in the arts since she was 15.
